<p>EQ2 logs in and everything, but when I go to do a quest and kill something, the kills just don't register. The log at the bottom says 'You killed Helpless Animal' but there is no XP gain and my quest doesn't update.</p><p> I'm running Vista and have am playing on a trial account.</p>

What level are you, and where are you?  Trial accounts can only do so much depending on what area you're in.

<p>I am level 4 and in the starting area in Timorous Deep. I am killing things around my level. After a little bit of playing all the beast labels simply turn grey.</p><p> I am only level 4 because my friend logged into the account and played a little, which basically shows it is an issue with EQ2 and my computer. My system specs are overkill for this game, 3.00 GHz Core2 Wolfdale, GTX280, 4GB Corsair memory. Running 32bit Vista. Newest drivers for everything, except BIOS won't update thanks to MSI's 'superior' quality...</p>

<p>*Scratches head*</p><p> I think your confused...</p><p> I am killing stuff my level, but a bug in the game is incorrectly showing everything as grey, even if they are many levels higher than my character.</p>

Look at your exp bar and see if the  adventure exp is turned off?

<p>I just realized the problem. Only happens when I'm in a group. I guess the 'adventure exp' turns that off...</p><p>Adjusting to a new game, I have the right to make idiot moves don't I? <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>
