Cant start the game in windows vista, need help please.

<p>When i run eq2.exe the launchpad starts, checking files, when done it says loading graphics, then it just exits and nothing else happens. I have set all exe files to run as xp sp2, and given all programs administration access, still the same thing happens. I have tried to run everquest2.exe directly, but because the game is not patched up to date, i can not run the game that way either. </p><p> My setup is a Intel core 2 duo E8600 3.16ghz, gforce 8800gts, windows vista home premium 32bit.</p><p> Any help appreciated.</p>

i am haveing a similar problem saytr i followed all the steps also and everytime it starts to download the patching it just cancels itsself did you figure out how to get it to work?

I'm having similar issue, I can go to charater select and no matter which character I choose it brings me back to character select. I'm haveing no issues running other SOE games, just EQ2, and only since this last patch.
