bad patch ?

i woke up this morn servers were down i try to logg in for the past 5  mins or so and i get into the launcher but when i try to loggin to the game it hangs at entering game as *enter charachter name here *  and sits there for hell untill you cancell does it to me on all my accounts please resolve

You will probably need to powercycle your modem/router and/or add EQ2.exe and everquest2.exe to your firewalls allowed list.This is a general issue after every patch as the exe changes and the firewall will not reconize it as the same program.
