Here's the thing, i am a casual player only been playing a week so i don't have a lot of time to play so i need to pick one character to play, over the last week i tried many classes and races and narrowed it down to Bruiser and Brigand, both i enjoy and both dish out the same damage so far, both two different types of play style, so what i need to know is what are those two like to play at later lvl's?I intend to solo mostly. I really need some help from you vets, many thanks.

Hello and welcome,I must say you have good choices, not that any are bad, but the two you chose will do you well for the play style you seem to suggest you like, (up close in your face battling)Both classes will only get better as you level up:Bruiser will have feign death which means you can act dead if the battle is not going so well and you will get a self heal. They are great damage dealers that can take a decent hit. They also in later levels get an art that does extreme damage, where I have seen others take out a mob with one hit (Pretty cool imo)Brigand at level 25 will get Escape which is an in zone evac that will teleport you to a safe area if things don't go so well. They get lots of stuns and back shots so you don't get hit often, and if you spec you AA's (achievement point) you can either put out great dps, or set your self up as a mini tank and take good damage, or a combanation of both.So my advice is enjoy both classes, alternate between them, you may find you enjoy playing both or you might find you enjoy one more than the other. And if in the future you decide you want to do some grouping they both perform quite well in them.So have fun

I have both a Monk and a Brigand both level 29 and 31. I enjoy my brigand much better not to where I'll stop leveling my Monk for sure.

What server are you on?

I'm on crushbone, a UK player. Both chars are lvl 14 and the bruiser seems to do better at mo(takes less damage)but i like the sneaky stuff, i've played the rogue type class in many games but the bruiser is so different most warrior/fighter classes in other games are usually crap damage dealers so never could get into them.

Most classes really don't start to "shine" until around level 30. As suggested before. Play both of them for a while. Eventually, you'll find yourself playing one more than the other. Your "main" character isn't a "choice". Its a natural progression.

I know 14 aint high enough yet that is why i'm asking advice from higher lvl players, i don't have the time neither the patience to lvl both, and the last thing i need is ppl telling me play both and see what one you like,i just want to know what each class is like at higher lvl soloing.

Heh... I know it's how a lot of (most?) people play, but I'll never understand how folks can have just one character that they focus on. There's just too many different classes and races, all with cool aspects to them. Altoholism for the win.

Well thats how i like to play, WOW spoilt it for me, it took me 3 years to get a rogue to 70 because of my casual play style and when i wanted to lvl a druid i just couldn't go through all the same quests and lvl's and zones again. There are some great games coming out this year so i just wanna lvl ONE character as high as i can to keep me going till then.Hell i might even try the new WOW expansion

The thing is no one will or can tell you what to play. Because it is always a personal prefference. All we can do is tell you our opinion on how the classes play. and even then you will get alot of different views. Now as far as you choosing between a bruiser and brigand:Either way you won't go wrong, they both solo very well with different play styles. It is ultimately your choice. So in my opinion, just have fun.

If you're into sneaky stuff, you could try Monk.

They get wind walk to become invisible. ALso, Bruiser/Monk can both solo very well. Eventually you'll be able to solo using just auto attack while reading a book, they're that good.

Its absolutely, hands down, the toughest class in the game. They can tank, they can DPS, Heal like nobody's business and AOE without a drop of power loss.Go check out the local Tradeskill Trainer to get started. You won't be disappointed.
