What's eating you Aaryonar? Huh... sounds like the Void...

So, it appears that Aaryonar, a dragon of the Claws of Veeshan, was killed by what can only be assumed to be void critters.  Below is the text from the end of the "An Audience with Aaryonar" quest, the 20th quest in the Qeynos Claymore line.  It does seem to be an interesting read.<img src="http://i34.tinypic.com/15ekau.png" alt="" border="0" />Mysterious towers? strange creatures?  Magical energies from the towers?  They vanished?  Sounds like Void to me.  I wonder which dragon they carried away.Edit: Posted a larger pic with only the relevant text so Cusa could read it.

It's the story where the Void creatures kill the Dragon and, as he's dying, he sees another Dragon being carried off to their tower.  Last I checked it was assumed Tarinax was the Dragon being carried off, since the Shadowmen were in possession of his soul.

It's possible. The Shadowed Men didn't have Tarinax's body, though, since it's been turned into the guardian of Deathtoll. So they can't possess him.

Ya, this has been brought up before at least once by me and probably by someone before me. I referenced it in my "The Void is connected in some way to every expansion thus far" discussion a couple of months back when we started postulating the direction of the next expansion and I figured it would be void focused. That was before all the clues started pointing to the Void(lore bits, asset files, claim items, live events, etc). So, I'm just waiting to see if one of my theories on the specifics of the lore turns out to be true as well. If not, I won't lose any sleep over it though. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>It seems unlikely that the dragon that was dragged into the tower was Tarinax. Aaryonar was fighting on Velious for the Claws of Veeshan at the time of his death. Tarinax was a member of the Ring of Scale and was killed on the continent of Antonica, presumably, while trying to raise his army and free Nagafen and Vox.</p>

<p>The fact that he was slain on Antonica is a slight assumption on my part, but a pretty safe one:</p><p>Vhalen made a post way back during KoS confirming that Tarinax was raising an army on Norrath and planning to use it to subjugate the continent of Antonica after he released Nagafen and Vox, but was stopped short when he was killed by a band of adventurers. He stated that a band of adventurers on Antonica was formed when Tarinax's drakota began to attack cities, and they tracked down and slew Tarinax. He also hinted that this was way back when the Dragons were first taking notice of other races on other continents, so it seems unlikely that any of them would have made their way to Velious by now... or anywhere off of Antonica. This is why I assume that the band of adventurers had to have killed him on Antonica.</p><p>Vhalen never directly said that Tarinax was on Antonica when he died, so it could be construed that he was, for some reason, embroiled in this battle between adventurers and the Claws of Veeshan on Velious, where he was killed by the party hunting him down, and his corpse was found by the Shadowmen (if that's who Aaryonar saw) and dragged into their tower.
