About every other day, I recieve an error message saying something about an unrecoverable error, and the file associated has something to do with the shader. Screenshot is the following link. The path it gives is <verify> E:liveeq2frameworkrendersrcVeShader.cpp (8567:m_pPixelShaderhttp://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b...rrormessage.jpg

There may be a couple of files in your EQ2 directory * alterlog.txt * verify.txtIn these files see if there is a problem reading any files. If so, delete that file and rerun the game wit ha full scan.Let me know how it turns out!

I can't find either file. I used the windows search tool and searched for the full file name and without the .txt. No results.

I had this error happen for the 1st time this evening. Trevor, I'm a bit confused by your post, not sure what you're suggesting to do, if you could clarify please

I think the two files he's talking about (verify.txt, alterlog.txt) should be in the main EQ2 directory if you have them. By default, I think that's "C:Program FilesSonyEverquest 2".I'm not sure exactly what the logs are for, but I think that's where the game records error messages when it has problems with certain files. In this case, the files may be corrupt.I think Trevor is recommending that you read the logs (if you have them) and delete the files that the error messages in the logs refer to. Then, on the launchpad, click "preferences" and do a full file scan. The patcher will then download clean copies of any files you deleted. If corrupt files are causing the crashes, this may solve the problem.Josh

I understand all of this, but I couldn't find either of the .txt files. I manually looked for them and also used Windows' build in search tool, but to no avail.
