<p>OK not sure if the thing above worked or not but basically I need to buy a new laptop for work that would be nice if it could run eq2 but not essential. Although the graphics card <i>may </i>be able to run the game in lowest settings, it does not supprt vertex shaders.  You may want to test out the trial, <a href="everquest2.station.sony.com/freeTrial.vm" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Play the Fae</a> to see if you can run it at all without spending any cash on it just yet.

When I travel (all the time) I play on a Dell D830 that has a T9300 DC processor, 2gb of memory and the NVs 140M video chipset with 256 Meg dedicated memory. Have some issues in raids but other then that not to bad. Have one of the new Precision M6300's on order though.
