returning... What do I need to know

<p>So after nearly a year and a half absence, I am thinking of returning to my original character. My old assassin is waiting for me and I have a renewed enthusiasim(sp?) at playing and seeing some old friends.</p><p> That being said, what am I going to need to know as far as game changes that have happened since March of '07. I had all previous expansions excluding Kunark, so anything that has happened with Kunark or general game updates since then is what I am concerned about.</p><p> Thanks much for the pointers!</p>

Lots of new places to explore. New quests. Achievement Experience expansions. Lots and lots of stuff. I'd suggest just rolling a baby character, or dusting off your old one, and getting out and trying it all. Much will be very familiar. The rest you will pick up quickly. And do bookmark the <a href="http://eq2.wikia.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">EQ2i wiki</a> - it will give you answers to so many questions!

Welcome back!  I was also going to recommend reading through the update notes that Spyder linked (why does he always beat me to these things? lol).Definitely hop in and check out the new expansion.  That brought a lot of new content, and things are always changing (and hopefully improving) with the updates.
