Feign Death Issue

I participated in my first full group on my monk yesterday.  We went to CBK and had a ball.  Afterwards, I was running around in a duo team with my fiance and when I FD'ed...  I didn't have a buff icon to cancel.I assume this was because I had too many buffs so it wasn't being displayed.  How do I cancel FD if I can't see the icon?  Do I have to make a macro?  How?Any help appreciated.

Did some more searching and people are saying using your sit hotkey cancels FD.  Will check at home later.
