The norm is half hour notice when the server is about to come down for a patch though that courtesy has been known to be overlooked from time to time. Patches can be anywhere from five minutes to an hour or two. Every once in a while it does seem to go boom, as it did tonight, and then it's really dependent on when it happens and who is around to get it going again. When it happens this time of the evening there have been times its not back up til the next day.

Tonight, I think we're down til 8 or 8:30 PST when staff get to work in the morning and lights are flashing, or not flashing, as the case may be.

I apologize for the extended downtime, it wasn't planned. We do have 7/24/365 support watching live servers but sometimes something can slip past. The server is unlocked now and we should have a fix for this crash in tomorrow's update.- K

Edit: Bringing myself back to the earth calendar.

I understand its the "test server" just wanted to see what the norm was. Thanks very much for the update and info.So far, love playing on test. It's quiet and peaceful, haven't yet wanted to strangle some little potty mouthed kid. I'm guessing if we find something that seems off or odd we post the information here in the forums. My wife and I two box most of the time, and have been playing with a third since it was an old trial and currently active for a bit longer on the legacy promo. Can't believe we are pondering getting it permanently. Though might talk her in to a new monitor. We are working on a few characters to get a crafting set up and running. Miss the lvl 80 crafters we have on live.We each two box on live but are getting tired of the rude children. So test makes for a nice quiet evening. Mins

Another question about how things work on test. When bonus xp events are happening on the "live" servers do they also happen on test?
