Okay so my ranger atm is about 30, however he's a bit...i dont know...i'm having fun, but i feel like i'm missing out on dps...Is assassin any better? I am leaving it until level 50 because then i think i will know if i love ranger enough.I know your all thinking "level 50? hes mad!"But i never have a master drop, i have a 72 main and 3 level 50s and not one ever has had a master drop, and i dont buy them before 50 anyway. And a ad3 or two isnt hard to lose.NOW...before you start, please just dont put "were nurfed stay as ranger" because you read it somewere else. All class forums [I cant controll my vocab] about their class, would be nice to get some help from someone who doesnt think there class is nerfed and hated by sony (which it, lets face it, a lame excuse to not playing right)

(( Assassin is the master of death at close range.when you really, truly and wholely need someone killed in a hurry, you need an assassin.almost all of the rangers ive ever known have betrayed to assassins, so that probably means something hehe.

Rangers are still really viable in PvE.In truth, the lower levels with rangers are the worse times, they get a lot better as time passes, and they'll be able to solo a lot tougher mobs than assassins (rather, they'll be able to solo the mobs much faster).

I suspect that if we had to kite, we'd do a better a job of it as rangers, but I dunno for sure, haven't tried it. I'm curious to see, but would start an assassin alt rather than betray with my ranger. Although I'm beginning to suspect that the ranger/assassin tension is all about topping dps charts when raiding, which I have zero interest in (because of my experiences with raiding in other games, which I found boring). And for the record, I think it's perfectly reasonable that a class that must stand at close range and hence be subject to taking greater damage should be capable of doing greater damage than one who can do damage safely from a distance. Although I suspect that dynamic is broken in raiding, it's not broken at level 54.</p>
