Paladin/Templar Duo

I have a friend that just started playing EQ2 he's an EQ vet I wanted to make sure he enjoyed it and could get his bearings while playing so made a Templar alt to Duo with him. How do I make sure he can hold on to aggro when I debuff the mobs? we are only level 6 and 5 for now. and on the newbie Island but if I can work it out right, today we will be off the island and starting in Qeynos. any help with what to use and who to use it on in the way of buffs and AA lines for my Templar to help with the duo and occasional group we will do with my guild would be apprecaited. If you have any advice for my friend as a Paladin we would both greatly appreciate it. I've posted in both class forums as I'd like to to see it from both sides

Tell him to use his taunts, try to keep his weapon decent for his level/tier, and try to shoot for STR that is 6 (lower levels) to 10 (higher levels) times his current level.Once he gets the first ability in the Amends line (Redemption at 21) he'll no longer have any aggro problems as long as he understands how it works and doesn't have a group that goes crazy with the DPS. At the lower levels you should be able to tank as well as he can, so don't worry about pulling the aggro. If it is an issue that is frustrating him, then just don't debuff. You should not be having problems killing mobs at that low of a level.
