I played EQ2 for about 2 years from launch and havent played for about the last 2 years (quit Christmas '06), but yes, like so many other people, got sucked back into the game in June by the email talking about all the changes. Prior to my leaving awhile back, I do remember an equipment revamp where mastercrafted armor was moved to the "X2" of each tier. My main character I played all the time has the current version/correct armor...however, I have an alt that has Attuned and equiped level 30 mastercrafted feysteel armor on...old graphics and all and I have a full set of unattuned mastercrafted ebon armor with the old original graphics that is also attunable at 40 instead of the new 42 level. Comparing the stats, I notice the new stuff has better stats with slightly less mitigation...although the difference in mit is neglibible. I dont suppose there is a way to "upgrade" the old armor to the new version? Would adding an adornment or something change it? Or is old armor as is? Although admittidly, I do like the look of the old ebon better...but I do like the new feysteel better. Anyway, dumb question I'm sure, but just found it interesting that the old stuff wasnt changed when they updated.

Not a huge deal really, but would be nice not to have to refind 7 ebons and reforge the armor. Mostly just found it interesting that I still had that old stuff in its original state since I never really logged that alt on much.
