Hello all,

I have been seeing posts and remarks from zerks in this forum about wearing chain or even leather items to up DPS. I wanted to know what some of these items might be. I'm in a raiding guild and i'm trying to find more DPS from my toon. He's very well built at this point, but i know he can do higher DPS on trash in some of these zones. VP is where my guild is currently working. We've been able to take down about 3 named so far including Druuhsk, and working on Nexona. depending on what zone we're doing and what kind of mobs we're killing. I average about 2500 to 2800 on most trash mobs. I belive i should be doing more around the 3000 mark. This of course is pre-mythical. I'm buckler spec'd and use my fabled epic or sometimes my sword from CoA. It has the higher delay allowing more crits. I'm also using crit potions and depending on the weapon...either the crit or DA whetstones. Pretty much fully fabled and adorned from there, minus maybe a couple spots on adornments.

The second part of this is to ask what group setup would you commonly see built around a zerker? Better yet, lemme ask this. We have an SK that does alot of OT work aside from myself. We're usually put together in the same grp. So what other classes do end game guilds (that still even have zerkers) put with them? That leaves 4 spots. Dirge is one for sure, but what else? Or, should this SK and i even be in the same grp?

Lastly, have any of you gone from Mith Marr diety to Tribunal? i was thinking about god abilites as well. The Mith Marr cloak is "ok" but since im not gonna go to evil/Zek i'm wondering if there's a huge leap with Tribunal. Appreciate anyone's info, and go ahead and say it. "You should just betray to guard!" Well, that's just not gonna happen. So please be constructive and thanks for any input!

if you rarely tank then rule Tribunal out, i had it and very rarely used the blessings, valor is just better all around for a DPSing offtank on the good side.

one of the best DPS groups i have found for us is: Mystic, Templar, Dirge, Illusionist, Monk, Zerk but you can swap monk for something else, it's just nice being capped in haste pretty much full time.

I'd prefer a Coerver to Illu. With CoB, Shaman dog buff, Open Wounds, Int line, 40 Haste from item and 30 Haste from Beserk you are permanent over 100 % Haste most of the time, getting DPS as high is a bit more difficult. DA is also capped with Buckler. And Coercer will also transfer some hate and has Coercive Healing.

not too many guilds roll with 2 coercers though

Assumed you can spare one of course.

Ok,

Thanks for the grp suggestion, but how about the less than plate gear? When i originated this post i "thought" i was doing much higher DPS. Turns out i'm really between 2200 to 2600 on VP trash. Some zones like Kor Sha are higher with the golems and such. What kind of pre-mythical DPS do any of you recall doing? What were you using predominatley, just our fabled epic, or another weapon?

Our epic's 3.0 delay is meanigless imo because i get that thing down to like 1.4,1.5 with some buffs and being berserk. Sometimes i don't even use accelerated because i know i'm missing or passing up on DA's with our arts. My current AA set is 448 str, 44882 sta, 41 int. I've had more into the int line in the past but again, that much speed seems to be wasted somewhere =/

Anyhow, back to the gear questions. I dont currently have a full set of our tier one fabled. I have three pieces that i switch out from time to time thinking maybe with the magic damage of my taunts it will increase DPS a little. Our MT is rock solid so there isn't much worry about stealing agro. LOL even if i could. Again, thanks for any helpful advice. I know perhaps i should seem to be on top of all this being in VP, but the truth is, there's always a chance i'm missing something. Be it an CA rotation, some piece of gear i could get. SOMEthing to do more than get carpal tunel <sp> clicking CA"s that don't give me a feeling of doing real damage...

trooper scale boots, gi of the jarsath swifttail, the chain gauntlets from runnyeye and the leviathans chain breastplate from chelsith. they are all decent upgrades to non quested upgrades or easy to get raid drops.

mainly those are chain but the gi is leather, i even sometimes wind up tanking vp epics in the thing(mainly just because i have yet to find a better DPS plate chestpiece cause trakanon is stingy).

3-3.5k DPS should be a good aim for DPS (without leather armor). If you don't have it allready, try getting the ring from SoH, best tank dps item in game. Before the Mythical I used the Segmented Serrator instead of the Epic. 33 % longer delay, 50 % higher max damage and stats are ok. But for pure DPS there are very likely even better weapons.
