Okay, I'll be the first to admit it's more speculation than hard news, but I saw some interesting things on after I patched Test Wednesday night....Read all about it at Allakhazam!!

speculation can be nice sometimes. Hopefully though if they do put guild halls in they do remember there are more then two cities in the world and that can be reached by all of them.(rather not travel from kelethin to qeynos, or fromg growyn to freeport)

All I have to say is that the slurpy machines had better be there and working.

About time! i have been waiting for these ever since i joi ned a guild, and i'm sure all of you have to, if theres one thing i can't help but think about, it's about if you can change the wall look like you can in freeport and qeynos houses, or leave it like it is like kelethin, gorowyn, and neriak houses, a guild type of house pet would also be cool as sort of a reward for getting a high guild leve.

(p.s., my first post )

I sure hope that they actually do go live in Sept'ish.

One effect I think that it will have - for good or bad - is that being in a guild, and guild being (or getting your guild) at a high level will become much more important than just having an extra row of bank slots.

So does a guild have to declare itself evil or good? If I'm a Freeport/Neriak citizen and my GL is a Qeynos/Kelethin citizen, which Guild Hall can we access?

Whichever version of hall the guild owns I presume. As the hall itself is not actually inside a city, faction should not be a problem accessing the halls, it just may be inconvenient if you are based in Freeport and you have a "good" leader who bought a hall in Antonica. Well, other than the pair of level 70 city guards which are now stationed at the end of the docks in CL and Antonica... But all that is going to do is make sneaking in to do the Stein of Moggok quest and other such things in opposite cities more difficult, if not entirely impossible. I can't see that it would affect guild hall access unless the only way of getting out to the hall is to take a bell or boat from the docks themselves. I guess we'll have to wait and see

I sure wish there was a 3rd option....a neutral guild hall....my guild is composed of both good and evil....and I would like one that reflects both in design and location that all are one in acceptence.

When i was playing on test server last night i completed a quest and recieved a book. Upon inspection it read " can be placed in your house or guild hall"...granted this is comming from the test server but hopefully this answers the question of being able to place house items in the guild halls. And Im sure if there are only 2 locations for guild halls they will put in a translocator or some means to get to them easily from the other cities. If not it isnt really that hard to get to the other cities with all the boats, griffons, carpets from SS etc. they got now. But it will be interesting to see how things turn out ..very exciting times ahead. In preperation my carpenter will be harvesting like mad until then.

I really hope they decide to make a guild hall accessible in Kunark somewhere as well. My guild's guildhouse is in Gorowyn, which is smart, because its rather easy for both factions to access. While CL and Ant are really easy to access, it takes a bit to take the spire to Ant if you're an FP citizen who's guild hall is in Ant. That would just discourage people to go to their guild halls more than the have to. It would discourage me, at least.

The Living Legacy site has the guild halls marked down as GU49 in September, so guessing that is the target, so before the expansionEDIT: well says Guild Hall Event and Competition. I'm sure it used to just say Guild Halls anyway seems like the lead up at the least.

I'll have to take another look at the Qeynos side The two in the light house had nothing to say and Director Jasmine did have the occasion thing to say but it was to the workers. Which is a relief she is the most tiresome NPC next to Nathen Ironforge...maybe the Ironforges can get him a job there and even keep the Epic connection just have someone in QH looking for the kid.

Would be nice if we had to clear out the squatters(vagrants) before moving in

I'm surprised that SOE didn't set up Guild Halls like they did in Vanguard. I'm guessing that it probably wouldnt work in EQ2 though since there seems to be content so tightly packed compared to the vast open expanses in Vanguard. Of course the pain of collecting all the materials for one sucked. I probably could see them having some sort of quest or writs for making materials for the guild halls. They would have to add new recipes though.

If you inspect house items on test, the description now says: "This item can be placed in your house, or guild hall."

Funny, the Freeport NPC conversation sounded a lot like the one Darth Vader had with the Death Star commander at the start Return of the Jedi. I just didn't see a warning that Lucan was to make a personal appearence like the Emporer did. Go Guild Halls!

So, with this new guildhalls. Will the cities be deserted then? I hope this is not going in the direction EQ1 is in now....cities noone use.

Guild had better be neutral territory. Some of our members have a mix of good and evil alts / mains. Of course, that may be the whole point of the construction offshore. If the halls are in "international waters," there can't be too much issue of alignment.

regardless of where the ideas come from.

How cool would it be if commonlands and antonica get flagged as battlezones (or a seperate instance based battle zone with pvp rules in effect) and each has 3 static battle keeps claimable by guilds and used for a guild pvp of freeport vs qeynos guild wars.

Open up all classes to qeynos and freeport and this could ramp up the qeynos vs freeport cold war.
