Hi all.I stopped with EQ2 about 3 years ago, when SOE dumbed down the excellent crafting system to make it easier accessable for the general playerbase and the removal of death penalties etc. (they wanted to lure WoW players, turned out it never happened lol).So my question is, in the past 2-3 years, did the game became even more easier ? I wonder because i already found it not very challenging 3 years ago when there still was an considerable death penalty and the complex (but good) crafting system.Or are there maybe some servers with an hardcore ruleset to make life abit harder ?Thanks

It's even "easier" now. Personally I like the changes very much tho. Maybe Vanguard is the thing you are looking for.

EQ2 is the least simple alternative and although it has been simplified to the point of allowing the playerbase to become terminally bored we all still hang around waiting for the next vaguely challenging event, like epic weapons etc.

I personally don't think EQ2 is hard, I also don't think WoW was hard either. Both have their issues/challenges but hard isn't one of them. Then again "hard" is a non quantitative point of view. What I might consider easy you might consider hard and vice versa.

Anways back to the OP IF you felt the game was getting "easier" based on your originial TS experience then I and others can definatly say this game continued it's trend in your point of view. TO ME all it did was go more/less inline with this current generation of MMO's.
