Heres all of my system stats and what not:

Total Processes: Approx. 271,878 K, or 271.878 MB. I have 2gb of Ram, 271 should be nothing.

With that kind of set up, I've removed some processes that weren't needed (like Google and Youtube update).. this is the performance reguardless of setting (From balanced without shadows to extreme performance)

My overall computer runs fast enought, just EQ runs .. lame. Why is this and is their a way to fix it? BTW, here is my FPS at raid settings today:

Have you tried checking reuse vertex buffers? And I'm not sure how media center differs from WinXP Pro.

Would hazard a guess the cpu is a tad bit weak for the 8800

That CPU is pretty slow and is holding back your video card big time. Remember that the Pentium 4's are not even close in speed to the new ones. That 2800mhz is about equal to an AMD 2800+ and these days that is about half the speed of the cheapest CPU's out there.Time to upgrade (if you can as you will prob need a new motherboard)Sorry for the bad news.Look at this chart... your CPU is slower than the slowest on the list which is a P4 3000mhz.http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/...-max-9,369.html-JB

I almost fainted when I saw all of the processe running. Here's what I have running before EQ2 is even started:

http://i38.tinypic.com/2eeimpv.jpg

There seems to be process "scanning" (ScanningProcess....).?.?.?.?.? Is this a Zone Alarm anti virus running? You have so many processes running it makes me wonder if your memory/CPU has much left for EQ2. I would start shutting down those processes you don't need running while you are playing EQ2. Like, why would you need MS media center up when playing or have a anti virus program scanning your hard drive while you are only playing a game? Also, I didn't check every process you have running but, I would Google those you don't recognize and make certan they are not malware/adware.

I do not believe it is your CPU. I have had EQ2 running much faster with higher settings on a Athlon X2 3800 with a 7600GT. I logged into EQ2 for the first time in a couple months after upgrading my video card I have a Q6600, 4GB Ram, HD 4850. I am currently getting 12fps. I'm trying to figure out why it is slow for me also.

THanks for the help.

Its turned out that my FPS that day was SO drastically low was because someone put a Keylogger on my system, with the addition of having so many processes running. I've sence solved those problems and my computer is running good enought for me now.

Thanks again.
