Since we now have a 74 page thread in regards to the out of memory bug that was started in 2007 and no solution to the problem in sight...

I'd like to know what the recommended /force_low_mem_mode 1 command is going to do to my game?

Because I'd rather crash every few hours (well not really ) than have an ugly or slow game.

And if this command is so beneficial and it turns out that it doesn't effect game play in any way... why isn't it built directly into the game code?

Oh and the main reason I'm asking, is before I try out any command-line that may affect the way I play the game I want to

1) Know what it does.

2) More importantly, know how to turn it off again, in case I don't like how it changes my EQ2 experiance.

So if someone could post the command to turn it back off, I'd appreciate it as well.

Thanks!

P.S.

Windows Vista 64bit, 8 gigs of RAM, AMD Pheron 9750, Nvidia GTX 260, .net 3.5 installed. Not really a system you'd think would run out of memory after a few hours of game play...
