Hi, I have an alt 76 brig I'm bringing up and my highest real tank is a 25 zerker and I don't know if I can stomach a 3rd grind to 80. My question is, is it possible to tank CoA, Vaults, maybe the harder zones Maidens/Chelsith with a brig specced with Sta line and decent legendary gear? I've noticed tanks can be hard to come by some times but I have never done a full pug instance run with a brig tank so will groups laugh at me if I say I can fill in? I realize it depends somewhat on if you have a good healers and someone to hate transfer and whatnot but in general has anyone tanked successfully?

I know many brigands that tank those instances every night, and do it better then most plate tanks, or leather- if they count. We can pretty much tank anything in this game, including raid mobs. You don't need hate transfer, you don't even need the sta line, although it would certainly help starting off, and you dont need 2 healers. You just need to be good at your class and have some decent gear for it. A good start for tank type gear would be to just do the claymore quests.

Windscorn

Keepers of the Oath

The only instance a brigand can't tank (without raid gears) right now is RE2...you'll have a bit of a harder job than a guard but not much really...brigands do awfully well at tanking...even more if you're sta specced.
I've tanked RE2 all the way to the epic. It was hard though... [Removed for Content] adds and groups of >1's

Brigands can tank all group instances and in a raid situation even some sissy mobs. I won't suggest drawing aggro from any VP mob though.

Tanking ability in groups does not have anything to do with player skill. On single mobs it's just button mashing like in a normal group situation. Only difference is you don't need to watch for your aggro. just clicky clicky.

Tanking multiple mobs is harder. You must cycle targets especially if you have AE caster and will eat high dmg spikes. Your Stuns may help a bit to make life for your healers easier, but depending on how many mobs you tank it is not a walk in the park. But you want to avoid AoE Fights anyway. So the player skill is reduced to be able to pull single mobs. BAM BAM BAM. dead.

Legendary gear will be sufficent but you will probably take more damage without high end fabled.
