I was having some problems with low framerates and then my game started giving errors and quiting. On an average setting in EQ2 options, I was getting 20 fps. So I reformatted and reinstalled Windows XP. So I changed the video settings in the EQ2 options to the highest setting to see what would happen since on the average settings I was getting 40/50 fps in BBM. I am getting 20/30 fps which seems to work better than my old install at 20 fps.

Wow, the detail is amazing. Armour that looked like steel plates have incredable design, snakes are so shiny and on and on. Wow is all I can say. I haven't tried any city spots yet but if I don't see no jerkyness, then extreme it is!!! I think I am going to have to go exploring some earlier levels to see what they are like.

Well done Sony/EQ2!

Nice man. This game is dated but very pretty in max settings for sure.

I have been doing lotro and aoc and tabula rasa recently, so I have exp all the modern mmo. Regards graphics I still think that eq2 has it best on player models by far . It is tru ethe world is not at the dtail level that aoc or lotro is, but the chars are much better with the exception of thier faces. AArmour details is much nicer for the following reasons: In lotro and aoc, they had so few armour sets that they did them failry detailed. The textures in those games are not nearly as detailed as eq. True aoc has clood spatters and such, but it looks to me like a carefully painted 2d set not 3d like the textures in eq2. When you think of how many more items there is in eq and how many high dtailed textures and items there is in comparison to lotro and aoc, you begin to realise how much better eq2 is.

Defrag your drives often. I set up a scheduled task to do it 3am twice a week. That helps with framerate a lot.
