Hi Guys

I've only jsut started a swashy alt, still on the training island at lv 8, nice class so far.

Quick question, I was looking into the CA's that swashy's get and I see we get a few specific CA's that use thrown weapons.

So my question for all you swashy's is, did you stick the thrown weapons? or do you ignore those CA's and use a bow instead?.

Cheers

I'm a big fan of the thrown weapons. The CA's are useful for kiting mobs, and once you complete the Reach AP line, it'll extend the throwing range.

Auto attacking with a bow will normally net you better dps than an equivalent throwing weapon + frigid throw line. However, the CA is nice for kiting in a pinch and I can't think of any bows with enhancements for melee damage such as melee crit/da, while I can think of 2 or 3 satchels that have bonuses to melee crit. Satchels are made for rogues and brawlers.

I love thrown weapons. Just wouldnt feel like a swashbuckler to me without throwing sharp pointy objects at people. And as mentioned its the only way to get the most use out of the 'reach' AA line if that floats your piratey boat.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the feedback, I personally like the idea of the thrown weapon as I feel like it fits better with the class, I was jsut curious if while looking good I was possibility gimping my character.

The swashy is great so far only at lv 8, I cant wait to get more of the unique CA's.
