From a "/fix berserkers" thread.http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...=422866#4713621quote from Aeralik:

You have a defined role which is tanking. I am well aware though that guardians are far beyond everyone else in tanking especially raids. I have said a few times recently though that we will not be making any changes in the short term. In the longer term there are some changes to enhance survivability of the non guardian fighters but nothing concrete that I can commit to or comment on. I would expect to see some of that in the fall though and perhaps some discussion at fan faire if the question is brought up.

So.. basically they acknowledge that guardians far outstrip all other tank classes, but are not even planning on potentially maybe perhaps doing some minor fix until possibly the fall.

I'd really like to hear something specific, but I suppose recognition that not all things are equal on the "guardian front" is a step in the right direction, but doesn't mention anything about crusaders. The whole "nothing concrete" is wishy-washy and less encouraging so I'm not holding my breath.

Even if crusaders are part of the long term changes, "adding survivability" to non-guardian fighters is also a blanket statement...I mean just look at our FD spell. That adds survivability to us or groupmates, but isn't really a fix for the problem we're having. Best to sit it out and wait till we hear exactly what he's talking about.

Even if they increased our Surviabilty to equal a guards (which I highly doubt), we still are doing less dps and have fewer agro tools then Guardians. If they increased our surviabiltiy to just under Guardians and made it so we kicked the Guards butt in dps I would consider that a fair trade off.

But it seems pretty safe to say they are trying to drive non-guardians to the level of alt classes.

The class isn't broken, it sjust a lot more work then similar other tank classes. SKs are the only Tank class that really needs to tailor thier group to support them in order to do the job that's needed of them...Paladins are in the same boat on that, but no where near to the same degree. Other fighter classes need less support to do their job efficiently and tbh, it's down right hard sometimes to get all the classes you need together to do a good job as MT.

I don't think I'll ever stop playing my SK (I've dumped too much time and effort into him to just give up on him), but he's certainly not my main like he used to be. It's a frustrating set of circumstances which there's really no easy fix to and simply deleting the class is not how you fix it. Curing the cancer by killing the patient has never been an acceptable answer. If SoE really wanted to drive people off, they'd just delete the class without regard to the time and effort people have put into them which they haven't done yet.

or they could cut off the toe to save the foot, sure there might be just a little nub left becuase they didnt make a clean cut,and stitched it up badly, and the nub is 1/100 the size the toe use to be, but it still feels like the toe is there.

and thats what the sk is , a tiny nub left of a toe that was uncleanly cut off the foot , now even if 4 months from now they come up with a Cure and can re-attach the toe, all the Muscle will have been lost from the toe from not being used, the Nub underneath will be the little flap that makes it move, and there you have the Sk class in 4 months when they get the longterm fixes . a barren hollow class with just a minisclue nub to prove it still exists and the devs didnt cut it all the way off to begin with.

the sk class has been hurting for 7 months, has lost Alot of lontime players that left the game , re-rolled, Lost there spots in Raids, and in 4 months more might see some Longterm fixes to the Fighter classes(that doesnt mean SK fixes, that means changes to all fighters, and that could leave Sk's in even worse shape then they are now depending what the HELL Longterm changes to the Fighter classes means) ....

.How many will be able to get there raid spot back after a year of a defunkt class ? raid guilds aint waitin around for these fixes, they have the classes they need to Raid, so Sk's getting fixed a year later after alot left, or betrayed and are pally geared/mastered. or play another class to raid, will have Severly cut down on the already low raiding Sk community,

now what ? its a year later Sk's actualy Work Almost equaly , they can survive a hit, have agro control, and dps were it should be,,,,, but now they dont have a raid spot anymore, and there chioces that were dismaly small befor to raid , are now down to extremly casual raiding, or Pug raids, and there are almost no SK's being played,,,,, and so limps the foot with the [Removed for Content] toe.
