dieing on intercede

<p>Ok you can smoke me for saying this but tonight in shard of hate I was getting plastered interceding the healers on pulls!! I am not meaning to gripe but mercy this is getting insain. I love my bruiser but my my I am really having a hard time figuring out what the hell I am good for any more! I will admit I am not  totally fabled at all but I just guess I am not doing something correct while playing this toon. Any suggestions?</p><p> Thanks.</p>

Why are you having to intercede on your healers? Your tank is slacking if you have to do that. Also if you do actually intercede on a healer and they happen to be very low on health for whatever reason then you can potentially take 100% of their damage twice. Which, if the mob is epic named, will kill you unless you have about 15k hitpoints ofc =)

<p>Hey Aull....</p><p>1. Why do healers need to be interceded on? That is just strange to me that this is happening so much you are doing it all the time. So, not really understanding that.</p><p>2. As far as Interceding goes though, I respec'd and maxed out the Intercede AA's. You put 3 in each level. This has really helped my off tanking. However, that does not fix your problem. But if you are an interceding kinda guy, I would encourage you t do that if you havn't yet. Off tanking is one thing we rock at. I consider it my role.</p><p>3. But as far as dieing all the time.....I guess it's because you are taking all the damage the healer takes and healers don't really have defence or mit, other than Temps and Inquiz's, so maybe since they are taking so much damage, you in turn are too. Really, if the healers are getting agro on a pull all the time, they should be self buffing and that would help you I guess. Epics do crank out major damage, so if someone is taking an dirct hit and not much is mitagating the damage but you, yea....ur taking one for the team at that point im afraid.   lol....get them to pay for your repair kits.</p>

<p>I have had the intercede line maxed till recently. The reason I was interceding the defiler/mystic is because they keep drawing aggro on the pulls before the mt has aggro established (maybe pre warding and such). I watched as these healers would be struck to almost 15% of their health. So I figured better me to take take initial hit than the healer but what I can't understand is why they can actually take a full hit better where my bruiser is falling faster than they are.</p><p>I intercede ten to fifteen seconds before the pull while the defiler/mystic is at full health and not at 50% or below. Now I do not die everytime, but on epic named it seems to be more of a problem. Anyways I do get a nice pat on the back from the healers and gives the raid some humor as to how fast my bruiser falls. Kinda pitiful.</p>

<p>Aull, last night I was in RE 2  and was taking some major interceding damage and I think  know what the culprit may be. You and I have our intercede lines maxed out which means we are taking the MAX damage possible for our target. The problem is, our Bruisers can't handle it. I think we need to lower the amount we are taking. I went ahead and respected those and just did 3/2/0 instead of 3/3/3. You may want to try that...it seems an obvious fix right there.</p><p>Oh, and by the way, as far as my health and mit goes....I am in mostly high end Legendary stuff with a few Fabled pieces of Jewlry. So, not sure what your situation is, but I am about as well geared as I am going to get outside of Raid gear. I will say though, that I was in DPS mode last night and that does not have 8 in Stamina like my balanaced AA mode. So, I guess I was lacking in overall health possibly.</p>

An easier fix is just have someone other then the MT do the pulling. If we have issues like this we have the ST or Brawler do the pulling.

Thanks for the info Pnaxx. Just the other night I totally reset my bruiser tree and I can now live through most of the intercedes! I to am mostly instance/quest/mc geared atm. Wow SOE wasn't joking around with meaning sacrifice because that is truely what was happening to me. I will not use the line again. The only thing worse than a live bruiser is a dead one hehe.
