Hi kind people at SoE,

Any chance we can get this buff put somewhere useful when it is running - say under our permanent group buffs or give me an icon on my spell bar for it that changes colour depending on its lvl. I lose it all the time and find myself guessing as to it state. Alternatively make a big booming voice go: 'Your Perpetuality is at DEFCON1' Your Pertuality is at DEFCON2 etc etc for everyone to hear :p

And while we're at it can we please get the ability to cast illusions on our pets, I am sick of looking at myself and frankly being follow by myself all the time is weirding me out. One of me is bad enough. Any chance i can cast the Antonia Bayle illusion on it that I have for my epic? I wouldnt mine being follow by her all the time...

TIA

There is a perpetuality icon that appears in your maintained spell window. If I remember rightly, it gets brighter depending what stage you are on.However, just download profit like pretty much everyone else and then you can't miss it.As for your pet, shrink it and ignore it.

I'm not sure if it's Profit that is doing it or the default interface, I think it's default since I removed the Maintained.xml from Profit. Anyway, Perpetuality changes color as it gets faster . . . when the Yellow, Orange, Red are the last three, representing the highest levels of Perpetuality.

Honestly, it's not really even worth looking for. If you start trying to look at it, you'll end up screwing up your spell chain and dropping back to zero.

Never had any problems with Repetuality, using profit UI and usaly alwasy know what stage its on, usaly i dont even have to know, casting 4 spells to get it up again aint realy that hard

when it comes to the pet... use a group illusion, togle your illusion off (or place another one you like more on yourself ebfore casting the group one) and there you go, pet is not a mirror of you!

about the queen/overlord illusions, you never get a spell to look like them, you have to click a satue in NFP / SQ to look like the rulers for about 3 minutes

I think it needs to be more obvious where its is.

I know it changes colour and I know it sits in the maintained spells window and I also run the profit ui. However if you are spamming spells and maintaining god knows how many buffs and spell it moves around and often drops out of my window or behind a chat window. I am quite capable of seeing it in the corner of my eye when i am spamming spells to see what status its at when I can see it and making casting decisions, however I rarely see it these days since I have upwards of 20 odd spells running and frankly its a pain. I am coming at it from a raid perspective at this where i need to know exactly where to look and what status its running.

Putting it on a hotkey like a castable buff would mean i always know where to see it.

While i am on the maintained spells window, its the same with the mezz icons in the maintained spells - these always move around and if there are mulitple mobs with the same name, i cant tell easily which mezz on which mob has how long. I'd like a better solution to this too.

As to ignoring my pet I cant i need to know about it and casting group illusions and changing persona options is not really what i am after. I'd just like to be able to change what it looks like. I dont want to have to change my group into gnolls just to make my pet look different. It'd be nice to cast illusions on our pets that's all.

If you are a UI modder, just grab the spell haste line from the Persona tab. Gives you your true spell haste as opposed to simply knowing what level of Perpetuality is up. Generally, outside of a raid, with Perpetuality running, I sit around 82% spell haste.

Edit:

Incidentally, you don't have to cast 4 spells to max out Perpetuality, you only need to cast one assuming you are in a full group. Just pop one of your temp buffs (Mana Shroud, Savante, Flash of Brilliance) or Manatap or Construct right as the mob arrives, and presto: max Perpetuality right off the bat.

Temp buffs are best since they aren't resisted. If Manatap or Construct gets resisted, well, you're back to doing it the old fashioned way or perhaps choosing a different spell to max it right away.

Illusionists already have the ability to change their own or other characters' appearances, but just not our pet's appearance, which seems absurd.

The OP made an excellent point:

If I'm in gnoll form and summon my personae duplicate, then it should be summoned exactly as I appear when I summon it, whatever form I am in.

Also, if I'm wearing a white robe and summon my personae, he's summoned wearing the same white robe. But if I change my robe after the pet is summoned, his robe will change to whatever I'm wearing as soon as I zone.

Seeing an identical copy of yourself following you around gets old after about thirty levels and we'd like a little variety is all.

But thanks for your sage advice to reroll a coercer.

Gonna have to do that.As for the problems of following perpetuality in the maintained spells window, the simplest solution is to click on the maintained spells window and scroll down with your mouse wheel (if you have one). That way, you only see the latest spells cast, and those relatively useless icons showing your harvesting and other semi-permanent buffs are off the top of the window.
