<p>Yeah, it's all a bit of friendly banter and not so serious.</p><p> I just happend to muse over the EQII website to see what was happening and noticed all the latest promotions going on with our fantasy game(s) we all love.</p><p>We got the SOE fan fair advertised with a very well endowed queen pouting her advert.</p><p>We got the Living Legacy advertised with some babe clad in what looks like a black leather bra that is obviously two cup sizes to small, and perhaps a friend in the background who has joined her?</p><p>We got Oathbreaker with some babe with long blonde hair who seems away with the fairys.</p><p>We got Fight with Legends with a pretty Fay with blonde hair.  Joining her in the advert is the sister to the girl who wears a bra too small.  Perhaps they are all sisters, or maybe the girl who appears twice in the adverts is just jealous of that bra and blonde hair?</p><p> When I logged out lastnight I was left looking at a female troll with a skull hanging from her ear, so my question is where do all these busty babes hang out?  Not in Stormhold for sure.  If anyone happens to bump into these people let me know.</p><p> Happy holidays everyone.</p><p> Regards.</p>

(( If you find out where they are, please share!I was always mystified how a game uses hot babes specifically for roping in players, when the ingame females are so.... plain by comparison.. *sighs* Just like the old days of video games in the 80s where the box art would lure in people to play a game with tetris graphics =P

I'm trying. I really really am, I found a cute tall, slender but busty High Elf to play, but SoE has left me stuck with nothing to wear but  overly padded sweat-shirts and bathrobes for four years. It's so bad, I finally went to the character creation page & memorized which hair-styles went on the guy High Elves and which were for the girls....because I couldn't even tell from looking at them if that HE mage was male or female.Come on Sony, its filtered out that of the major MMOs there is a more mature crowd here. We're mostly adults. Can't we please get some clothes that are a little more revealing then the Victorian era dresses. Actually, I'd even take Victorian... least these ladies have some womanly shape.<img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8a/Cperrien-fashionplatescan-p-vf_33.jpg/468px-Cperrien-fashionplatescan-p-vf_33.jpg" border="0" alt="" />/Sighs with longing for her EQ1 newbie 1/2Elf 'lobster tail' thong.

This is so funny! Just the other day, I, too, was wondering about the babe in the tight black bra...wondering if we'd ever get outfits like those. Guildwars is a pretty crappy game compared to EQ2 in any context EXCEPT one: the art designs for the females (armor and models) are truly beautiful! They are revealing, and sexy and still manage to not look trashy or cheap. Hopefully with the new skeletal revamp, the DEVS will take a few cues from GW. And speaking of sexy, I want some sexy dances (read: not [Removed for Content] looking) for my female characters too. Sure that clapping dance is hilarious on a ratonga or on an Ogre, but come on, my Dark Elf or High Elf ladies need something more feminine.

<p>To the OP, if you want to see those types of outfits goto Maj'Dul. Thats about as close as you will get. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" width="15" height="15" /></p><p>I also wish there where more outfits availble. The sad thing is there are SOME more revealing and unique outfits out there already in game, the Gold and white dress, Blue Dress, and the female tradesmen outfit from city guild faction merchants all have unque looks and are more revealing, but they seem unwilling to retexture these models(yes they should look very differant(texture wise) the the faction merchant stuff). Just doing that would add alot more verity to the cloth wearer's outfits. The reason I say cloth wearer is first because looking at them and they look like they are made of that level of armor, and second if they are cloth then anyone can wear them, unless it is a piece of armor with a specific class restriction.</p><p>::EDIT::</p><p>I would LOVE to see the female tradesman outfit recolored to be the same color combo as the Swash AQ armor(the one shown in my sig)</p>

<p>I always relate to Victorian period costume to Queen Victoria herself, her most famous portrait of a widow in mourning after the death of the Prince Consort, Albert.</p><p> I think the devs have made some progession in costumes, though even the two pictures on the stock header of the forum page shows two scantily clad ladies in combat, sadly it does not relate to the game content.  Maybe it's down to the game engine limitations, the content rating the game has, or simply it's down to time management and resources that have to go elsewhere in the game.</p><p> For me, EQII is still the best eye candy I have seen, if only...</p><p>Regards.</p><p>  </p>

LOL!Indeed. If one looks at EQ1 first and thinks "Wow, I wonder what they could do with more detailed graphics, its gotta be amazing." Then they come to EQ2 and think... "Errr... Are you sure this was made by the same people?"Honestly, its bad. They do what they do realatively well but they don't really do anything. Nothing truely inspired. Nothing that makes you think: Wow, I wonder what they could do with more detailed graphics... Its more like, Oh, yeah. I guess that works till they add content...Wait... guess they aren't.

<p>I can remember in my EQ1 days I would troll a forum for bards. We had a whole board to just discuss our outfits. Now granted we were bards, but male and female, how we looked was a major priority. You could tell just by looking at someone quickly their class, their probable lvl, and with a few rarer items, we could even identify other bards on our server, just by their outfits.</p><p>Granted the lamibant blue was a bit bold (read garish in daylight) but I had soooo much fun coming up with different outfits. I miss the 'Michigan Football' outfit... mostly blue but with a touch of bronze plate. I even took a screenie of the one time my 1/2Elf girl grouped with a male human (in the same outfit) for my desktop and wrote "The center and place-kicker for the Norrathian Football team watch the play from the sidelines."</p><p>I also adored my red chain Militia Reservist tunic. Silver helm, red tunic & the rest of the gear the bard blue.... I looked like Supergirl.</p><p>Now I look like every other mage, some blob of color from my toes to my chin. Bah!</p><p>Yeah and can't we find anything better for the guys to wear then those 15th century German merchants outfits. <span style="font-size: medium;"><span style="font-family: comic sans ms,sand;">I have to say, I've also been surprised by the lack of bust and cleavage in EQ2 considering how much is in the adverts, and in EQ1!  I look at screenshots of EQ1 females and think, [Removed for Content] happened?  Why'd they go from this, to covering up cleavage at all costs in EQ2?  Did cleavage become some sort of social taboo I'm not aware of?Even the most revealing formal-wear dresses for players in the game have a little strip of material covering up the cleavage.  /boggleWhile I understand that some female players don't want to feel "forced" to wear skimpy clothing, I ask that they understand that there are plenty of other players out there who don't want to feel forced to cover up their characters up unnecessarily.  They say, no wait!  Kids play this game!  Yeah, they do.  Cleavage won't destroy their fragile innocence.  I promise.Recently, I've seen an encouraging trend in bringing out the sexy in npcs and mobs.  The busts on the Drachnids, for example.  I hope they allow some of this new direction to spread over into player character design, and let those who wanna show a little choice skin do so.</span></span>

One of the things I've always wondered about, was if they put in skimpy clothing, would that then require a game rating change? Sure, EQ1 had it, but I believe the ESRB is more rabid about such things these days, so if they did introduce 'more skin' clothing, would they be required to re-do the rating, potientally bumping it from teen to mature (17?)

GrunEQ

<span style="font-size: x-small;font-family: comic sans ms,sand;">I can't see where having clothing with "panty shots"  all over the place which we have in game now, that having cleavage would be considered a rating change.  And if they can have it on LoN cards in game, then it clearly isn't a problem.</span>

((Hey y'all, check out what is coming out next LUI know its not a new outfit, but atleast its something until the Skeleton revamp is finished. Until that time they are limited to just retexturing existing outfits. You should have seen my DE in EQ1... Back on topic. Having played AOC and PW which are kind of think the problem here is SOE dresses females like males. I recall several ocassions where I was completely baffled by the gender of a character (elves/fae mainly).  Its pretty much the same texture just stretched onto the mesh (or whatever the technobabble is). While that makes it easier for them part of the charm of EQ1 was that armor tended to have a different appearance depending on the gender (as well as race). Here its same same same. And I'm sure I've said this somewhere before so forgive me.Would the school girl skirts of Perfect World make sense here? No, not really. However, the Formal Ensemble shows that they are capable of making something that remembers my gender. Recylcing the design with repaints is fine but something more needs to be done. SOON.

<span style="font-size: small;font-family: comic sans ms,sand;">I'm begining to think I need to give some other games a look.  There have been some nice pics from Perfect World and Age of Conan.  Are the game mechanics any good?    Yah, EQ2 really needs to work on some items especially gear.  If only NPCs could tell gender too, that would be nice.  At least in Dark Age of Camelot NPCs knew the difference between males and females and acted/spoke accordingly.  The NPCs here treat everyone as male.</span>

<p>Just a warning before spending your money, Conan is NOT the place to go for armour looks and variety (we spent, and we have suspended till they get a lot more content and polish in there). Basically you spend most of your time looking like you are wearing old dishrags.. and a lot of the stuff that isnt like that is just like eq2 stuff anyway. Sure you can flash the world if you like, but a range of attractive and inspiring armour and clothing there is not.</p><p>Shaun</p>

It has some quirks that make it confusing at time (English that no English speaker can comprehend). Don't expect a lot of control over the interface. The character models are pretty but aren't nearly as detailed as EQ2 or AOC. Only 6 classes: Warrior (Human), Magician (Human), Archer (Winged Elf), Priest (Winged Elf), WereBeast (Male Beastkind), and WereFox (Female Beastkind). The Werefox is a pet class, or POKEMON class if you will... you have to capture your pets and they get experience as you play (I used a level 2 pet up till about level 20). I can't tell you much about WereBeasts because they are male only. There are a few NPCs that have referred to me as "Young Man"!!!AOC has an interesting combat system. And you can run around naked. But as someone pointed out after a while it is clear its not ready for prime time. Its laggy and while it looks pretty there isn't much variety in clothes. I've kind of lost interested in it but may give another shot if they add some content. They are improving things though.Niether of these games have a good TS set up.EQ2 is probably still the most flexible of the games as far as game play but its not as detailed as AOC or as pretty as PW.

Id also like to point out that every female in EQ2 is actually eve created from God, because they all have no belly buttons. My half elf has a cute lip ring, but it would be cooler if you could see my belly button and i could add a belly ring.
