Hello all, I have a fairly new warlock alt that I absolutely love, she is incredible. One question I have though, is I thought we were supposed to be kings/queens of AOE or rather encounter damage? I seem to almost die when i fight multiple mobs using just my aoe/encounter nukes but if I just single nuke them all they seem to die quicker and I take less damage...am I missing something or doing something wrong? Just wondering what makes us shine apart from Wizards....Do we get a multiple mob root at some point? Any insight into this would be appreciated! (BTW all my spells are adept 3 can't afford masters)

I did a quick search as I dont really remember, at level 40 we get "Boney Grasp" which is an AE root, this will help alot with killing multiple mobs. Typically I will use the AE root, then tag one or two with the single root (just to be safe as the AE root doesnt last as long) and kill away. I have seen other Locks ae root then nuke as fast as they can but I would rather take a few more seconds and less dmg (the RNG hates my warlock).

And if you have a bunch of people hitting you chances are they will get interrupted more often than not. This can severely hamper your DPS. If you find someone to tank for you however things look much much better. And look for Gnolls or other big encounters with downarrows. Its freakin awesome to see groups of 5 dieing from the first or second spell you cast. Those we can solo very very well.
