Amulet of Necropotence Broke?

So i looted this amulet about 2 months ago for the illusion on it and now I cant get the darn thing to go away. The item wasnt even on me it was in the bank, but everytime I zone the illusion comes back and overrides any other illusion I have on. So Now I have deleted the item all together and that dumb illusion buff thing comes back and im a darn skelly again. I cant get rid of it and i dont even have the item anymore. PLEASE FIX!

A dev commented on fixing this in the next game update. Basicly, it gives you TWO buffs that you have to remove to get rid of the illusion.

Except I dont even have the item anymore and it keeps putting the buff back on me when I zone. havent had the item for a while.

have you died off and cleared your character of every buff, including food and drink? If it's still on after everything is wiped clean from all buff boxes, then you're bugged, and might have to try just hiding your illusion from the persona window.

The short answer is yes, and while im happy to just turn it off BUT it does effect other illusions I do like to use. As such its not simply a matter of a double buff. The game mechanic itself is screwed up and needs to be looked at. I do appriciate you trying to help me out though so please dont take my hostility as personal... im just tired of all the little bugs they seem to create and then never fix. or even admit they broke in the first place.
