I receive a fatal error when loading a new character in Timorous Deep. The message I receive goes a little something like this:

<verify> E:liveeq2gameclientsrcGameScene.cpp (4143): Failed to create zone. Suggestion: Please do a full scan from the patcher.

Now, the game is installed on my D: drive, my E: drive is my DVD drive. Why is the game trying to load files from anything other than my hard drive, and how do i fix this?

I'm no expert... I shoot bullets into darkness and sometimes I hit a bull's eye; but did you try doing a full file scan?

lol yes I did a full file scan, twice actually, even went into preferences from the patcher and made sure i had all the optional files checked off and downloaded.

The thing that is key here is that the error message points to an error regarding the E: drive. As I stated in my post, the E: drive is not a storage drive, but is in fact my DVD drive. My D: drive is the storage drive that the game is installed on, and also where the game should be searching for files to launch the game from.

Greetings,

The E: drive referred to in that error message is the E: drive on our servers, not on your computer. That is the file that it is comparing your game files to. Generally this error means that one of your game files is missing or corrupted. Are you running any type of Antivirus on this computer? An anti-virus is the most common cause of corrupt files.
