While a crash to desktop usually occurs because of a computer settings issue or possibly by that 'login rejected' bug, it does seem that your connection is having some trouble.  Are you running some type of firewall/router/antivirus?  Are you running the game from a university or military base?  That info will help us narrow down the possible causes.

I am on a military base and do have antivirus/firewall but disable both and still had same problem and I do not have a router
