I parse using ACT, and have been since the start of this character. I watch my progress over time, effects of equipment, etc. Recently I made the change from level 71 to level 72, and was able to equip various master crafted goods. The effect was ASTOUNDING! But, there were some unexpected quirks to it as well. I was hoping some here with more experience in the 72+ level range that regularly parse themselves might provide some insight. My parses are from solo play, no non-swashy buffs, no potions. My Strength went up.My +DPS, +DA, and +Haste went up. (procs from rings, and cloak)+Damage on CA's was added (+290)Switched from 65 DPS to 75 DPS weaponAA's and combat order/technique did not change750 DPS overall before is now 1200 DPSAuto attack was 22% before, and is now 28%.22% of 750 = 165 DPS28% of 1200 = 336 DPSThis is an increase of over 100% extra auto attack damage, a considerably larger increase than I expected.78% of 750 = 585 DPS72% of 1200 = 864 DPSCA damage + poison increased from 585 to 864 DPS. This is an increase of 279 DPS compared to the +290 per CA click I added. Some of this +DPS comes from +damage on CA's, and a little comes from +Strength (I did not add that much strength). If I just calculate it out, though, I get close to +1 DPS per +1 damage. It looks like adding +1 Crit should add the most. Adding +1% DPS or DA should add around 3 1/2 DPS. And adding +1 damage should add around 1 DPS. Conversely I would need around +13% DPS or DA to make up for the lost +45 damage if I replace an armor item.Does this sound right? People keep posting that replacing +damage with +DPS or DA is the way to go, but I have seen few items anywhere near +13 DPS or DA.
