Hey all,Since last night at about 2am GMT, I have been unable to log my main character in on the Antonia Bayle Server, and I also haven't been able to create any new characters on that server. The loading screen gets stuck at 'Receiving Zone Info'.I have looked on the forums, and have tried deleted the maps associated with the zones I was going from and to (East Commonlands and North Freeport respectively), but that still doesn't help.Any ideas anyone? Thanks

Hehe. It was fixed by a GM for about 10 minutes, until it lagged out - again in NFP - and now I have the same problem. However, it crashes on Waiting for Entities now. Help

PM me your station name so I can check to see if is an account issue. In most aspects though it is not and will be a connection problem. If you could post a tracert and path ping so we can look for any issues please do so.Open up the Start menu, choose the Run command, type "command" in the space provided, then hit Enter. If you're using Win2k type "cmd" instead of command. For Vista, "type command" at the search bar on the bottom of the Start Menu. The MS-DOS Prompt window should appear with the prompt, "C:windowsdesktop". For Win98/ME or Win2K/XP/Vista, type the following three DOS commands, one at a time, hitting Enter between each command, and waiting for the prompt to reappear:ipconfig /all > c:eq2info.txttracert unrest.everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txtpathping unrest.everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt(This may take a few minutes to complete)Finally, upon completion of these commands, you will find a file labeled "eq2info.txt" on the root level of your C: drive. You can use the Find command from the Start menu to locate it. Open the newly generated file (c:eq2info.txt) and copy and paste the information here.

Okay, I have done that, and the info is listed below and I have also PMed you my account name.It's wierd, it was working fine last night from about 1am to 6am GMT (hehe, I was instancing with guildies ^^), and now it refuses to work again. I was on my way to do my first HQ and as I zoned into GFay from BB at about 2pm-ish GMT, it wouldn't load. Could it be due to busy zones? Also, my alt in TD is suffering the same problem so I pretty much can't play hehe.Here's the eq2info.txt file text:Windows IP Configuration Host Name . . . . . . . . . . . . : chrislarr Primary Dns Suffix . . . . . . . : Node Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : Unknown IP Routing Enabled. . . . . . . . : No WINS Proxy Enabled. . . . . . . . : NoEthernet adapter Wireless Network Connection: Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : Description . . . . . . . . . . . : D-Link RangeBooster N USB Adapter Physical Address. . . . . . . . . : 00-19-5B-46-1A-61 Dhcp Enabled. . . . . . . . . . . : Yes Autoconfiguration Enabled . . . . : Yes IP Address. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.4 Subnet Mask . . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 DHCP Server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 DNS Servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.1.1 Lease Obtained. . . . . . . . . . : 01 July 2008 16:30:22 Lease Expires . . . . . . . . . . : 02 July 2008 16:30:22Tracing route to sdkeq2-05-01.everquest2.com [199.108.12.161]over a maximum of 30 hops: 1 1 ms 2 ms <1 ms 192.168.1.1 2 48 ms 46 ms 46 ms esr11.manchester6.broadband.bt.net [217.47.158.142] 3 35 ms 45 ms 29 ms 217.47.158.13 4 30 ms 45 ms 38 ms 213.123.108.6 5 46 ms 34 ms 47 ms 217.41.173.17 6 48 ms 30 ms 47 ms 217.41.173.146 7 47 ms 47 ms 47 ms 212.140.206.42 8 30 ms 41 ms 47 ms 217.47.158.43 9 30 ms 46 ms 47 ms core1-pos3-1.manchester.ukcore.bt.net [194.72.2.41] 10 52 ms 48 ms 37 ms core1-pos0-6-0-0.ealing.ukcore.bt.net [62.6.204.201] 11 53 ms 53 ms 35 ms transit2-gig8-0-0.ealing.ukcore.bt.net [62.6.200.122] 12 53 ms 36 ms 52 ms t2c2-ge8-0-0.uk-eal.eu.bt.net [166.49.168.49] 13 40 ms 52 ms 35 ms 195.50.91.161 14 36 ms 53 ms 36 ms ae-0-53.bbr1.London2.Level3.net [4.68.117.65] 15 183 ms 179 ms 172 ms as-0-0.mp2.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.68.128.149] 16 169 ms 186 ms 185 ms so-10-0.hsa1.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.68.113.38] 17 172 ms 170 ms 185 ms vl861.sdtermswitch-1.sonyonline.net [63.215.251.130] 18 174 ms 181 ms 186 ms vl831.sdkollsw-1.sonyonline.net [64.37.144.82] 19 187 ms 169 ms 170 ms sdkeq2-05-01.everquest2.com [199.108.12.161] Trace complete.Tracing route to sdkeq2-05-01.everquest2.com [199.108.12.161]over a maximum of 30 hops: 0 chrislarr [192.168.1.4] 1 192.168.1.1 2 esr11.manchester6.broadband.bt.net [217.47.158.142] 3 217.47.158.13 4 213.123.108.6 5 217.41.173.17 6 217.41.173.146 7 212.140.206.42 8 217.47.158.43 9 core1-pos3-1.manchester.ukcore.bt.net [194.72.2.41] 10 core1-pos0-6-0-0.ealing.ukcore.bt.net [62.6.204.201] 11 transit2-gig8-0-0.ealing.ukcore.bt.net [62.6.200.122] 12 t2c2-ge8-0-0.uk-eal.eu.bt.net [166.49.168.49] 13 195.50.91.161 14 ae-0-53.bbr1.London2.Level3.net [4.68.117.65] 15 as-0-0.mp2.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.68.128.149] 16 so-8-0.hsa1.SanDiego1.Level3.net [4.68.112.130] 17 vl861.sdtermswitch-1.sonyonline.net [63.215.251.130] 18 vl831.sdkollsw-1.sonyonline.net [64.37.144.82] 19 sdkeq2-05-01.everquest2.com [199.108.12.161] Computing statistics for 475 seconds... Since we know it is not an account issue at this point, try and leave your modem off for 2 minutes to try and get a new IP address. Your path ping has me worried with the routing your ISP is having you go through with the current IP you have.

TrevorG:Do you mean my router, which the rest of my network connects to, my USB adapter for the wireless network, or the modem actually inside my PC?Thanks-edit:Could it possibly have something to do with popular zones? I'm stuck on the edge of GFay. When it first did this, I was zoning into NFP. It might have something to do with the fact that I am connecting from the UK as well, since AB is an American server.

AB has been having zoning hiccups for a long time now. It's the server's way of letting you know it's time for a bio break, walk the dog, have a smoke, get some snacks, and call your mom while it sorts out how to get you into the next zone.

If you have a dial-up connection though (which uses the internal modem genrally) of course this cannot be done.If you do have a router, you may wish to connect directly to the modem to test the connection out.
