Hello. I have a level 22 Iksar SK and i personally have trouble killing things... i feel extremely underpowered. My 34 Necro can kill 5 or 6 whites at a time where as my SK needs to turn tail and run if 2 blues hop on me. I'm not real sure if this is just how weak SK's are or if im just doing something terribly wrong. The SK's spells and combat arts seem to just suck to me, half of them don't even seem like they're worth using and the 3-5 gold i'd have to pay to upgrade to adept 1 for about 10 more damage doesn't seem worth it. I'm un sure whether to use sword/sheild or a 2 hand. So i'm here to find out what i'm doing wrong and the get help turning my SK into a killing machine

My SK was utterly painful to level. The early levels are the worst as you don't have any of yoru toys and damage wise, well we're not exactly top dogs in that department. Since SK are are fighters, your best bet is to use your money to upgrade your armor first. That'll give you the most benefit as you level. Upgrade your spells as you can. Try to get armor that focuses on Str, Sta, Int and yoru first AA's should be down yoru INT line 4-4-8 for maximum spell crits. Keep your blessing up as often as it comes up and cast it BEFORE you pull. As you get higher level and get a few more AoE's under your belt things get easier to take on multiple mobs, but to go after anything real you're still going to need support. The turning point for me was level 55 when I got Tap Veins. Soloing is alright, but my advice is don't grind. Make small achieveable goals each gaming session and when it begins to feel like work, just stop and do something completely different.

Mos fighter classes will seem woefully underpowered compared to casters, but fighters can take a huge beating. Most fighters have power problems, so if you notice the mob is out lasting your power bar, fight something smaller and stock up on power totems.

As far as going S/B versus 2HD, that's a judgement call base don how well you take hits. If you can't handle things beating on you when you've got a shield in your hand, chances are you'll really feel teh pain when you go 2HD. As a rule of thumb, always get a shield and sword combo. 2HD weapons are nice occationally, but unless you know a lot about your SK (IE your limitations and how well you do damage) it won't be worth it.
