Couldn't load .xml

<p>Recently i have been suffering from the "Crashing to desktop at loading entities" problem outlined in other threads.</p><p>Today, I can actually get the zone to load for about 10 seconds, I can see other people, then the zone freezes and the whole client dissapears without an error.</p><p>In the everquest directory, I can find a UI.log which contains a single line "Couldn't load .xml" - No other error logs...</p><p>This is a completely clean install from dvd, with a full analyze and patch.   No custom UI, nothing installed... it's fresh.</p><p>Anyone got any ideas ?</p><p>  </p>

Created a new char on Najena ... got this error Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown. E:Liveeq2frameworkresmansrcResourceManager.cpp (169) 0==m_pRefMap

I have the same ui error. I was just started, made few quests. I went to local inn.. and rented the room.. I opened its door and then come the error message.<span class="postbody"> Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.......How can I fix this so that I can get to my char again.. and how can I change my server to spiltpaw server where I actually wanted to go.. I cant  find spiltpaw server of the server list that is given.Besides.. I had a trial account.. and now I bouth the all in 1 pack. so.. whats wrong with this now?</span><img src="/eq2/images/smilies/c30b4198e0907b23b8246bdd52aa1c3c.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" />

Thanks Trevor... My modem and router are separate. My Firewall is a DLINK Extreme N... and I have pretty tight control over it. Either way... when I connect directly to the modem I still have a problem.... /sigh...

YEs.. to change it.. friends told me it would be there. but my problem is that I dont have for some reason such thing.. I do have the page... but I cant switch.. thats what I need help wiht.. :/Ty for fast reply though

I do not know why you would not have it, unless you have a hacked version of the EQ2 client, which as far as I am aware of, does not exist.Are you using the Launchpad, or the station launcher?

I use the launchpad if I understood.. I have also pictures of the pad if you want themand I downloaded the version from EQ2 homepage
