I posted this same thing on the epic weapon thread Here but figured I'd transfer the data over to here as well, just to let everyone know how worthless Strikethrough really is.

I just randomly went back and found a log where I was in VP, this one happens to be on May 11, 2008 and is the entire first wing... I have no idea what my group setup was or anything, but the numbers that matter are as follows (from ACT):

I had 12947 swingsI missed 1127 timesMy To-Hit% was 87.55My Ext DPS was 2302My Average hit was 1074and the duration was 01:22:23

ACT doesn't pick up strikethrough, so I manualy went through the log, and found that I "struck through" 201 times

I feel it is important to mention I was the offtank, and tanked the adds on Nexona, Druushk, and Eldar Ekron, which is where a majority of my strikethrough's did come from, however, even with me having tanked those few mobs, I still only gained about 1.5% hitrate from strikethrough.

So... 201 extra hits, at an average of 1074 damage per hit, over 01:22:23 period (201*1074/4943) gives me a whopping 43.7 dps on my first floor zonewide of VP.

to put that in perspective, morning star, my lowest damage CA did 61 dps.

mmm... our epic weapon pwns faces, doesn't it?!

Interesting. I'll do some tests too then, thanks for this.

What you can do with ACT is have it play some sound when a trigger happens, so you could get it to play something appropriate when strikethrough is detected, so you'll see when it's happening. I use this to generate a little 'slap' sound on ay melee hit so I can quickly tell when I drop out of melee range. Maybe I'll add a little grunt on strikethrough
