But, with the amount of work with faction balancing that would require its probably easier to say "No" there is no way to not be KoS in one or the other city. Edit: I've never exiled before so I'm not sure if exiles are KoS in both cities or safe. Somebody who has stayed exile might be able to answer that better.

If the guards see you yes you will be KoS, but its not to hard to sneak pass them. And yes if you Betray you will be KoS to your home city.

Lad, you swear your allegiance to that undead oathbreaker in Freeport and he will chew you up, use you for his own ends, then cast your broken body aside! Cristianos is flat-out insane. She fancies that she is a goddess... and gods of evil like the sacrifice of sentients, including their own worshipers. Any evil ruler will do this. Turn back to the good! I will pray for your salvation.Meanwhile....You didn't say whether you were on a PVP or PVE server. In PVP, wandering into the opposite town is a scary proposition - the populace and guards will tend to want to kill you. Spyderbite canexplain a bit more how that works. In PVP, it's really not a big issue. As an 80 paladin I can wander through most of Freeport with the guards ignoring me totally - so long as I avoid the very epic guards close to my own level. And younger characters can sneak in via the sewers to accomplish certain goals as well, bypassing many of the guards.

Which means you are attackable by anyone and everyone. And, believe me.. you will be attacked. Hanging out on the Queynos harbor with 100 players who need to complete their PvP writs... well lets just say they aren't going to make you brownies and welcome you to the neighborhood.

Although the goodies like to claim moral superiority, their guards were quick enough to attack me while I went about my business visiting friends in their cities. In fact, there were many times I was forced to invis just to make my way to our guild hall that is sadly located in SQ. Fortunately now that I am older, their guards merely shout "For the Queen!" and then rush toward me , only to cower in fear when they realize my capabilities. I do still have to avoid a few epics that are my level.

Both Neriak and Freeport are fine cities that are much more tolerant of alternative lifestyles such as necromancy and my own art. I especially like the archetectural detail in the homes in Neriak. As a resident of that fine city, the personal preferences of my Queen have never affected me or caused me any problems.

Kari
