I'm a day-one returnee - As you can see by my signon here I've been around a long time. But I left along time ago as well, ocassionally returning, but life called and I had to move on. Now I want to try to get back into the game. The problem is this: When I log in, I have 7 characters. However, on EQIIPlayers, I have 10 characters listed, including 2 I really wanted to take back up.If I recall correctly, I had opted for a premium service that gave me extra slots or something? Is that what's going on? And is there anyway to get into THOSE characters for the return trial? I'm a little bummed out that I cant get to 'my girls'. I mean one of them is an original character slot so I'm a little confused.

I also deleted one of my alts to see what would happen (I assumed one of my 'lost characters' would appear... and she did. So I have two out there floating in the ether that I can't access and I can't make new characters without nuking these. I deleted the one I wanted to delete but now I'm full again. My inventory on each of these is loaded ( a nightmare to try to wade through, exchange etc) to try to delete one, so I'm sort of stuck as far as trying a new char.

Yes, the premium service is the reason why you are limited to 7. However, there is a way you can access those hidden characters! Log onto any character, then type "/camp [other_character_name]" and this will reload you into the other character, even if they were hidden on the character selection screen! So you can keep your 9 characters and play them all, even though you are no longer paying for extra slots.

You can camp directly onto an alt? Now that is useful information to know!

Awesome - now I can revisit my dark elf... erm... I'm not sure what she is now... ranger or assassin.... either way thanks that is about the most useful post I've encountered ever. I was expecting a 'yeah that was an oversight' thing. Thrilled!Ginnsu, et al.

You all need to join alt-aholics anonymous ;-p IMHO if you really must play a lot of alts... become a 2 boxer... 2 accts = double the alts. You will pay 2x as much when expansions hit also but the flexibility and power it can give you when you just want to log in and run some quests is a huge perk.
