My EQ2 always client crashed after loggin in and simply rotating the camera or interacting with anything with a Fatal Error:EverQuest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.<verify> E:liveeq2frameworkrendersrcVeShader.cpp (8567):m_pPixelShaderAs I didn't installed any software or driver I was a bit confused as it worked in the afternoon but crashed in the evening. What I did than was

installing the latest graphic card driver

updating to the latest DirectX 9 version

clearing the content of the ./cache/ directory

doing a full file scan with the Launchpad

Non of those worked so I petitioned it... imagine what answer was Okay so after doing further investigation I found 2 files in my Everquest 2 directory:

alterlog.txt

verify.txt

The second contained an information that there was a failure reading a certain vdl file, I found this file in my Everquest 2 directory and simply deleted it, it was named eq2_recipe_filter.vdlAnd this solved my issue.- Silkem

This is the same error message that I get , usually about once a day it crashes at some point and then I get that message . I have tried but can not seem to locate this particular file , the only thing remotely close is a file in the Cache called Recipes .
