Need help with a graphics problem.

System info first.AMD 4800+ dual core3 Gigs ram32 Bit VistaATI HD3870 Video cardWhen I play EQ2 no matter the settings, characters glitch out; meaning my characters head will disappear, and other characters heads, or limbs will disappear.  The problem fixes when I zone but happens again a short time after in the new zone.  I am using the latest catalyst 8.6 drivers and I have been searching the forum for two days now but cannot find a similar issue. I dont have problems in other games, and this is really making the game less enjoyable for me. Does anyone have an idea what the issue may be?  Everything graphically stays the same, the environment etc its just character related. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

<p>Greetings,</p><p>I checked our database and it doesn't seem that we've tested which drivers work best with that graphics card.  You may need to try a few different driver versions before finding one that works well with the game.  The most recent version isn't always the best from a compatibility standpoint.</p>

Have you tried to fiddle with the graphics yet? Maybe drop them all of the way, just turn down some others. Specifically water and shadows.

I have tried on all the different graphics settings in the game. The game runs fine, I get 40-70 FPS depending on area and population, it is just PC and NPC models that are getting messed up. I guess I will try an earlier revision of my drivers and hope that helps, if not I'm afraid I wont be able to play the game anymore, its just that distracting.  Thanks for the suggestions, I'll let you know how it works out.
