Would you continue playing Everquest the mighty awesome mmorpg after your freetime ends if your fps was stable?YES... yes I would! I've got this problem, I have tried alot of tweaking in the options, to get the game running steadily, but I havent had luck so far. One ''major'' change I found was the smooth fonts, clicked it off and poof! better performance. Nothing special after that... ANY HELP would be much appreciated, give a helping hand to this poor fellow <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/e8a506dc4ad763aca51bec4ca7dc8560.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" width="15" height="15" /> heres some of my system specs: (Intel Pentium 4, 3Ghz.NVidia Geforce 6600GT2Gigs of RAM, anything else you would like to know?)

Have you looked at <a rel="nofollow" href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=17133" target="_blank">The Complete Guide to Display Settings Options</a> ? You can tweak your graphics settings to get a much better FPS rate, and still keep the game looking good. There are some situations where you are just going to lag... raids is a typical example - 24 people and who knows how many monsters in one huge combat! The best recommendation of really intense situations like a raid is to turn your graphics settings down to "Claymation Mode" to get better performance... Though there ARE some folks with machines that can raid even at high settings, they're not common!

Well, I assume you've explored the options within the in-game menus, but shadows and water are probably the two biggest hits. Might also want to check if your video card itself is set on doing anti-aliasing... which can slow down the game significantly.

Guess what? I got Anti-Aliasing on my videocard settings, I went and turned it off and got balanced ~40 fps <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />" /> thanks for the help guys, and if you still got some tweaks in mind tell 'em!
