Cannot Download Newest Update

<p>Ok, I've been reading through the forums and can't find an answer for this specific problem.</p><p>I run the program and it opens up the launch pad. I put in my name/password and takes me to the next part of the launchpad. It scans my files and begins to download the vivoxsdk.dll file. It gets about a quarter of the way done, and then it stops downloading it, but it says update complete. My only option at this point is to press download again, and it begins to download but stops after another couple of percent. I can continue to click download button and the file will continue to download until it appears to be complete on the status bar, but nothing will happen. My "updating" button is grayed out and I cannot run the game. I have tried several things like deleting the temp vivosdk.dll file, even re-installing the game. I just can't get it to run.</p><p>I'm running XP SP2 btw.</p>

It seems as though you have posted your EQ2_recent.ini file instead.  Anyway you can get a DXDIAG upinstead?

Hmm..Do you have any firewalls or security programs installed?  Make sure you add EQ2.exe to the allowed lists, you may also wish to disbale them while patching too.

I'm having about the same problem. It gets all the way through the download then right as it hits the end it stops and says download cancelled. Only option it gives me is to hit download and when I do it downloads for like half a second then says download cancelled again. Firewall and virus prot turned off, and when i try station launcher it gives me an error saying 'Failure during self-update!(146)'

OK for Vista, try the following.1. Right click on the program launch icon2. Left click on "Properties".3. In the new window that pops up click on the "Compatibility" tab.4. In the "Compatibility Mode" area check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"5. In the drop down list make certain that "Windows XP (Service Pack 2)" is selected.6. Under "Privilege Level" make certain that the box next to "Run this program as administrator" is checked.7. Click on "Apply" then click on "Ok".8. Double click on the program launch icon.This should allow you to run your program under Windows Vista.  If you need more support, please feel free to email us back and we'll be more than happy to give you further support.

Everquest2.exe is on my allowed program list on my firewall. I went ahead and download the station launcher, and it lets me access the game from that.
