You'll definately be able to play the game at extreme performance with that computer.  I assume you actually mean extreme quality, though.  I imagine you should be able to run at extreme quality without too much trouble.  You may need to scale back a little in some town areas or during raids, but there shouldn't be any trouble outside of those places.

Even my ancient Althon T-bird 1.3ghz CPU with 1gb PC100 ram and nVidia GeForce4 graphics ran extreme performance, albeit slow as molasses.

EQ2 likes raw CPU power. A 3.2ghz processor should do well barring design flaws. My rig is an Intel e6600 2.4ghz 2-core CPU with 4gb DDR2667 ram (lowered from 800 for stability), nVidia 8800gts 640mb (old core) graphics, and Vista64 SP1. I solo and group at Very High Quality, though areas in certain zones can become a bit laggy. I'm no raider, but those few I have participated in required me to lower my settings to balanced. I might be able to go a notch higher, but would rather play it safe. My guess is that ghz advantage of your CPU over mine will let you run Extreme Quality for general use but that you'll need or want to drop down a bit for big raids. We shall see.-Roybob

I have a similar rig ( I went Intel Duel Core 3Ghz and just a single 8800 GT 512mb PCI-E) same amount and type of ram but running 32 bit XP instead. Max settings I can get without bad fps is High Quality. Extreme just doesn't work for jack.
