I have a really stupid question regarding the Harclave instance. After I light all the torches, I am instructed to kill the spore king. A second board spawns to cross the gap to the new area but I can't seem to position it so that I can get across without falling short. I even tried using the original board along with the 2nd one and I still couldn't do it. I fell into the pit and I had to quit the instance since I couldn't get back across the first gap after I moved the board. Is there a way to maybe spin the boards and actually make them straight instead of being on a diagonal? Or is there something obvious that I'm missing here? Any help is appreciated.

While moving the boards, you use the scroll wheel to change the direction they run. Using two partially overlapping, you should have no trouble jumping the little distance that's left. If you still have trouble, you can always get a tinkerer to make you some gnomish spring boots for an extra boost.

As mentioned, the scroll wheel swings them around, in the same way it does with house objects. In addition to making sure it's lined up straight, you may want to swing it around 180 degrees. Iirc the swing point is closer to one end than the other so by swinging it around you get more stretch over the gap.

When I tried it recently I also noticed that if you take a plank off the top of the box it retains it's height, so you don't need a box to get up to the mushroom ledge. I don't recall if it's always worked this way.
