Hello there,

Right now i have a geforce 8800 gtx with the latest drivers. But i have some stuttering issues with the card. I play in very high settings. ( shadows off ). My frame rate is between 30- 70 fps.

Now i heard that the ATI cards dont have the stuttering issues and als get more fps and plays smoother. Some peeps got the same problem as me?

Anybody got some advice for me, shall i buy a new ATI card like the 3840 or not?

My system config is:

cpu:e6600 overclocked too 3.0 ghz

mem: 4 gigs of corsair xms memory

gpu: geforce 8800 gtx

soundcard: X-fi extreme gamer

I don't know if you have already, but you will want to enable 'reuse vertex buffers' in the performance options for the game. That option was added specifically for that card, I believe, and should drastically reduce the stuttering.

If you're simply looking for video card advice, I still prefer Nvidia for EQ2. I've now run the game on 2 systems with ATI cards(9800pro/x800) and 2 systems with Nvidia cards(6800ultra/8800gt). Generally I've seen better performance when using the Nvidia cards.
