Okay, I have no idea what's causing this.. but the ripple animation on water when the light hits it is.. all square, line-ey and jagged for some reason. I have an 8800 GT and recently upgraded from a 8600 GTS.. both had this problem, and I'm not sure what the deal is. Is it normal?System specs are on this post.. http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=420284

Did you download the new drivers yet?

As Elorah mentioned, you may want to update/reinstall your graphics card drivers. Its strange that it would happen to both of your more recent graphics cards, but fresh drivers are a good place to start.

Have you been able to play with any of the options for WATER?You can find them under Options>Display>water.

Well if I disable the animation completely :S I suppose it will be fixed.. other than that, none of the water effects *FIX* the problem.

Any ideas? Problem is still not fixed, I've checked over everything time and again. Is there a specific file for water texture/animation that I can delete and repatch?

Lets try removing the drivers and reinstalling them with the new card in there.First you will need to download your video cards newest driver.http://www.nvidia.com/Download/inde...aspx?lang=en-us
and a driver cleaning programhttp://downloads.guru3d.com/download.php?det=745

Once you have both files downloaded, you will need to reboot your PC in SAFEMODE.

To Get to Safe mode you will need to restart your PC. As soon as it turns back on, start holding down the F8 Key. You should be offered a option screen then instead of it booting into Windows right away. You will want to select SAFE MODE with NETWORKING.

Windows will now load, but it will look different from what you are used to. Install and use the Driver Cleaner program, this will totally remove any old drivers for your video card.

After this is installed, you will need to reboot the PC, and load it into SAFEMODE again. This time go ahead and install the Video card drivers. Once done, go ahead and reboot the PC normally and try again to start the game.
Hopefully the water will be working at that time.
