Pretty straight forward, I use to be able to swing camera around while holding W for forward motion and left mouse button to swing camera and the right mouse button would turn my character.

Now however it only works this way while in autorun. Don.t know what I need to change to get it back the way it was, or how it got changed in the first place.

Anyone know how to fix it?

Hrm... have you tried right click instead of left click? I rotate my view all the time while running (not on auto-run) but I can't recall if it actually steers me or just looks in the direction I point. (Curse my goofy memory).

Yea, both buttons have the same effect ot turning my character. It is a G15 keyboard and I am going t try loading the old drivers back on and see if it helps.

If you go to the options in game there should be a drop box that allows you to change your character movement to be either 'avatar relative' or 'camera relative'. You'll want to switch from one to the other. I can't recall what section it is located in, but it sounds like the cause of the problem based on your description. I can find exactly where it is in the options a little later assuming things calm down here, but it may be a while before I get a chance.

Its also possible that your mouse drivers need to be reinstalled, but I would check the character movement option first.

Thanks TSR-DanielH that did the trick switching to avatar relative.

I can remember a few times immediately after a re-install when I thought 'why the heck is my character not moving like he usually does?'. Its really confusing, especially if you don't notice that option.
