<p>Gday</p><p>Has anyone noticed any benefits of weight reducing bags in combat or movment (running or sneaking)?</p><p>Would seem kind of logical that we might get some combat boost or sneak benefits that is not explicitly documented. </p><p>I am of course referring to a person that is not encumbered anyway</p><p> Cheers</p>

As far as I know, it only relates to your encumbrance. Some characters don't have a very high strength and need to take care that they don't get encumbered.Others have high strength and can use strongboxes for packs (which both my paladin and mystic do).

As an arasai coercer, the weight reduction bags mean I can carry all of my resist gear and other stuff without needing to obtain str food or potions or make sure my gear has str or I take Achievement points in str instead of the stats I want.As an erudite dirge, I have the strength to carry my resist gear in strong boxes and never break a sweat. As a level 35ish arasai coercer, I get encumbered while I have revive sickness or my str food runs out. I also get encumbered when my bags have been filling up with plate drops. I have to return to home and unload more often.

For my monk, they do nothing.. for my mage, they help a lot. They aren't meant to produce a buff, they are meant to cancel out a debuff.

"24% weight Reduction"</p><p>3rd: Bag of Tinkers "The Wondrous Inventions Of A Crazed Gnome HQ" "99% weight reduction"</p><p>With those 3 bags as you level up it will be hard to run out of room and be hard to run into the encumberance problem. I think there's 1 to 2 more quested bags, but I will have to double check my main to see what they are exactly. </p>

<p>There is also the Box of Nil sapce or somethign like that, drops in CoA and has a 99% reduction and 34 slots.</p><p>But yeah it is just a special thing that only helps mages and healers as niether try to increase str and as such are easy to be overburdned.</p>

My coercer has one. It dropped from either a froglok or an iksar with a puppy near the exit off the mezzanine. I was ecstatic when I got it. I'd seen it drop one other time and grumbled when a non-mage got it.I have it stuffed with resist gear <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

When my wiz hit L8 I took the brawny character trait to help me with encumbrance, but by the time I was 15 I no longer needed it so I respecced to int. ATM I am level 80 with a weight of 72/750 without any planning at all. I think weight reducing bags are pretty worthless. I couldnt possibly come close to the limit as most of my gear weighs 0.5 or 1. Even ore weighs nothing.
