I am in the market for a new computer, and I have decided for space and portability sakes, I am gonna get a laptop.I have seen a few nice laptops at Best Buy with good processors, a nice amount of RAM, and geForce cards, but I am not quite sure what to look for in a video card for a laptop. Can someone point me in the right direction? Even suggesting a laptop to look at would be most appreciated.Thanks.

Here is a list from best to worst. In general good graphics on a laptop is going to cost you some $$$'s. The "bargains" you see are usually laptops with bare-bones 3D video.http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile...p;sort=3dmark06Hope this helps.-JB

Just a small performance reference, I sometimes play on my laptop, its a 2Ghz c2d, 2GB ram and a 8400M GS in VISTA. EQ2 plays badly and theres driver issues atm, really bad choppiness / dropped frames (game shows 20 out of the 25 frames kind of thing) but I found that I can play on balanced on my native res 1280x800 if I turn shader distance to -1. Game looks ok, textures look better but theres no decent lighting and other eyecandy.

I've got a 2.5Ghz- 2G/RAM laptop with a nVidia 8600M card in it. Works VERY well for playing EQ2. I can't run on Extreme, but I can get pretty close. Not TOO bad of lag in the newer zones, and pretty much no lag in the "older" zones (SS, Ant, CL, etc...)
