Hello everyone, after reading about Living Legacy I recently decided to reinstall Everquest 2.Unfortunately the Launcher gets stuck after analyzing the game data. Following thread describes my problem exactly:http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=404079After the analyzing bar reaches 100% (file expo4_dunn_chelsith.dss), nothing happens. After I waited a few hours the Update finally started, but I had to leave for work and shut down the computer (never let him on when I'm not at home). Intel Celeron 3,2 Ghz1 GB RAMWindows XP SP2I first tried the downloadable patcher. After it got stuck several times I searched for my old DVDs (German release version from November 2004) and found them finally. Unfortunately the same happened again.I disabled all startup items via msconfig.Opened all ports I found in this forum in my router.I uninstalled my firewall.Windows Firewall is disabled.Checked the internet settings in IE (Standard browser is Firefox)I played quite a few MMOs in the last few years, never encountered problems before. The linked thread never got a reply unfortunately. I'm now waiting a few hours to see if the Update starts again but I'm not really happy letting the PC run while I'm sleeping to get the many patches. Apparently the aforementioned poster was able to play by using the EQ2.exe after he finally was able to get the Updates. Seems there is hope *sigh

Same here; I decided to log in for the free time thing and the launchpad locks up right after it finishes updating.Fortunately running Everquest2.exe seems to work.

I'd think that the Launcher itself may have a problem. My suggestion would be to uninstall the Launcher, and get a new copy from http://everquest2.station.sony.com/en/install/Sometimes the Launcher will hang anyway, and then the best thing to do is to shut down the Launcher and then re-start it. But if that isn't getting it, the Launcher itself may be the problem.Another item to consider is... are you running Vista? If so, you have to right-click and choose "Run as Administrator" every time.

Well, the Updates are loaded now. Unfortunately I still can't start the game from the launcher. But the everquest.exe does the trick.Future Updates will probably be a huge pain, because I will have to wait for a few hours till the patching is started. But at least I may play now. *wavesEdit:I'm sorry if my Posts are a bit hard to read. I'm no used to write something in English.
