Hi i came back to EQ2 last week for the freetime period and today i am having problems logging into the game. Everything works fine when i log in with my old characters from before on US/EU servers. But when i try to make a new character on the EU servers it crashes out before i get to choose my server and the error message says 'Lost connection to server' and it then exits. So i tried switching the client to US servers and then tried to create a character and it works fine, so im just wondering if there is some issue atm.

IF you are looking to play on a EU server and it is crashing like you explain, lets test your connection to the server.Open up the Start menu, choose the Run command, type "command" in the space provided, then hit Enter. If you're using Win2k type "cmd" instead of command. For Vista, "type command" at the search bar on the bottom of the Start Menu. The MS-DOS Prompt window should appear with the prompt, "C:windowsdesktop". For Win98/ME or Win2K/XP/Vista, type the following three DOS commands, one at a time, hitting Enter between each command, and waiting for the prompt to reappear: ipconfig /all > c:eq2info.txt tracert runnyeye.everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt pathping runnyeye.everquest2.com >> c:eq2info.txt (This may take a few minutes to complete) Finally, upon completion of these commands, you will find a file labeled "eq2info.txt" on the root level of your C: drive. You can use the Find command from the Start menu to locate it. Open the newly generated file (c:eq2info.txt) and copy and paste the information here.
