Lazy/Floating cursor

I have a bizzare EQ2 problem.  This only happens in EQ2.  My mouse cursor just floats across the screen, out of the EQ2 window if it is running windowed, and to the edge of the second monitor.  It always floats in the same direction and it happens as soon as EQ2 becomes the active program.  I have tried different mice by different manufacturers, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse drivers.  I have disconnected and reconnected the mouse.  What could be causing this?

Do you have any specs you can give me on your mouse? Software or driver versions?

<p>I have tried an LX7 Logitech cordless mouse (my usual mouse) and also an old microsoft two button plus wheel mouse.  I let Vista find the drivers so I assume they are the latest.  It just started happening with the device manager in the control panel.  Smells like a virus now.  </p>
